The Board of Commissioners for Fort Bend County Emergency Services District No. 7 (FBCESD 7) is delighted to bring you the latest updates on the construction of our new fire station; a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to enhance emergency services in our community. The construction is proceeding smoothly, and we have some exciting developments to share with you!
We are pleased to report that the interior construction is proceeding rapidly; and that the installation of the interior studs is now 95% complete. These studs provide the structural framework for the various rooms and spaces within the fire station. We are thrilled with the progress that’s been made, bringing us closer to the completion of the important project.
As we enter the next phase of construction, we are excited to announce that the brickwork for our new fire station will commence this week. The exterior brick will not only provide a visually appealing façade but also contribute to the station’s durability and longevity. Witnessing the physical transformation of the building is an exciting step forward in creating a modern and functional fire station that our community can be proud of.
The Board is also pleased to inform you the installation of the bay doors, an essential component of the fire station's functionality, is scheduled to take place by August 1st. These doors will allow our firefighting apparatuses and emergency vehicles to access the station swiftly, ensuring rapid response in times of need.
We have also had significant progress made to the electrical infrastructure of the fire station. As a result, we anticipate that power will be available at the station by August 18th. This crucial milestone will enable the installation of lighting, communication systems, and other essential electrical components necessary for the stations’ operations.
